UJAMAA: KLiK AFRiKA KWANZAA 2020 SERIES

UJAMAA

The 4th Nguzo Saba,
Celebrated on the third day of Kwanzaa.

Ujamaa translates to collective economics. Ujamaa is about building and maintaining businesses to profit from together.

Enrich Holdings in Maseru, Lesotho is a great model for this principle.
Enrich Holdings was started by 1200 Basotho people by collectively raising M4 million.
One of Enrich Holdings directors, Maine Maine says that this proves that it is not true that there is no money in Lesotho, and the key to realising that lies in our ability as individuals to come together to raise business resources.”
Today they have successfully started a chain of supermarkets which are filled with fresh locally sourced produce and rival the best retailers in Lesotho.

We are proud of Enrich and what they have achieved using this principle.

KUJICHAGULIA: KWANZAA 2020 SERIES

The second of the Nguzo Saaba
Celebrated on the seond dy of Kwanzaa

Kujichagulia translates to self determination and is about defining, naming, creating and speaking for ourselves.

This principle has been greatly demonstrated by Computer Scientist, Lesley Ncube, Founder of Thatha and creator of South Africas first smartphone, the Shumiphone A11.
This incredible feat has smashed many glass ceilings that exist in the minds of most African people. The Shumiphone A11 smartphone is a high quality smartphone and offers great value, Lesley has proven that you do not have to compromise your vision in order to reach for your dreams and achieve success.

UMOJA: KWANZAA 2020 SERIES

UMOJA.

1st of the Nguzo Saaba (7 principles).
Celebrated on the 1st Day of Kwanza.

Umoja translates to unity and is for striving and maintaining unity in the family, community and nation.
KLiK AFRiKA has put this principle in practice during 2020 by uniting with artists across the country in order to record a song that we are all very proud of.
The aim of the song is to unite the African continent using music. The song has a great, and almost mystic vibe and is the simplest way to learn all the countries in Africa.

THIS SONG OUR GIFT TO YOU THIS KWANZAA
